Where a manufacturer’s fault is discovered within a guarantee period, that product will be replaced free of charge. After the guarantee period, if the product also has a warranty then a refund will be offered against the cost of the product according to the scale above. For example a customer claiming on a product priced £299 with a 10 year warranty after 3 years would be required to pay 20% of the current Retail price, ie £59.80 towards a replacement providing the mattress is still retailing for £299.
