With such a wide array of Hypnos mattresses and ranges on offer, you’d be forgiven for feeling a tad overwhelmed. However, don’t worry—we’ve compiled a comprehensive overview of all of Hypnos’ different mattresses, helping you settle on the perfect one.

Tension, tension, tension…

Before we discuss all of the wonderful mattresses that make Hypnos what it is, it’s important to pay particular attention to the mattress’s tension. Aside from size, tension is the most important consideration before purchasing your mattress. Your sleeping position will determine which tension is best for you. Confused? Don’t worry—we’ll break this down for you.

  • Side sleepers will best benefit from a soft or medium mattress
  • Those who sleep in various positions should consider a medium firm mattress
  • A firm or extra firm mattress is best suited for front and back sleepers

So, what Hypnos mattresses are on offer?

In truth, there’s too much to talk about in a single blog when it comes to Hypnos mattresses and why they’ve earned the state-of-the-art tag. Therefore, we’ve provided a detailed summary of our Hypnos collections below.

The Orthos Support

Hypnos’ Orthos Support range is a fantastic example of the company’s dedication to premium mattresses and expert craftsmanship. The collection comprises the Orthos Support 6, 7 and 8, each with a firm or extra firm tension for greater choice.

These mattresses are recognised for their firm support offerings, but as you’d expect from any Hypnos mattress, they are as comfortable as they are supportive. Cotton, and wool, depending on the model, will provide the foundations for greater comfort and support, but the material’s qualities lie in its seamless ability to regulate temperature. This means you can expect a cool sleep environment regardless of the season.

Elsewhere, Hypnos’ clever take on the traditional pocket-sprung support system, the Reactive Turn Pocket Springs, allows for targeted support, with each spring moving independently and in accordance with body movements.

The Pillowtop collection

We love Hypnos’ Pillow Top collection, as everything is engineered for unrivaled comfort. Sure, the natural fillings and pocket-sprung core are superb additions, but it’s the pillow top layer that sets these mattresses apart.

A pillowtop layer is essentially an additional comfort layer stitched onto the top of the mattress. It provides a sumptuous surface and allows you to sink into a peaceful slumber every night. Please note that pillow top mattresses are single-sided and not designed to be flipped.

Wool Origins and Cotton Origins

As the name suggests, these collections are perfect for any natural mattress enthusiasts. Hypnos’ innovative pocket sprung systems promise targeted support, whilst, as we mentioned above, wool and cotton are renowned for their temperature regulating qualities and superior comfort and quality.

Whilst Hypnos pride itself on the use of natural materials, these collections have a particular emphasis on these fillings. For instance, the Hypnos Wool Origins 10 in a king size boasts an impressive 15.7kg of wool, providing as clear indication of the supreme comfort and luxury you can expect. Conveniently, Hypnos’ mattresses are free of harmful and allergy-related chemicals. Across these collections, the mattresses are available in medium and firm tensions.

Elite

As you’d expect from a Hypnos collection, the Elite range prioritises both support and comfort. Remaining consistent with Hypnos’ commitment to natural materials, the Elite range also features wool and cotton in their mattresses. Whilst the pocket springs, provide the all-important targeted support.

One of the many standout appeals of these mattresses is the layer of Olus, which functions as a breathable layer within the mattress. This sustainable raw material reuses discarded polymer-based bottles, helping conserve natural resources and decrease the use of landfill sites.

Luxury No Turn

The Luxury No turn 6 and 8 models are, as you would expect from the title, are on the more premium end of the scale. Think of the Luxury No Turn mattresses as similar to the Elite range with the additional benefits of Talalay latex which moulds to the body’s contours and reverts to its former shape when no pressure is applied. In this sense, latex works similarly to the pocket springs to relieve pressure.

The difference between the 6 and 8 mattresses comes down to the pocket springs. Essentially, the Luxury No Turn 8 features eight turns to determine body weight and shape, thus allowing for greater body support, whereas the No Turn 6 features 6 active turns. Nevertheless, with both mattresses, you can expect unparalleled support.

What else can I expect from a Hypnos mattress?

Hand-site stitching ,tufting, air vents and handles are common features on most Hypnos mattresses.
